Find, Say, and Punch Cards have been a big hit in my classroom! We will feature a number of the day by counting to the number, moving to the number, and watching YouTube videos about the number. Once my kids have a good handle on the number, they complete their task card!
**You will need a hole puncher with this activity!**
Students find the number, say the number, then use their hole punch to create a hole in that space. (Variation: Announce a voice to use when saying the number like shout, whisper, use a deep voice, use a mouse voice, etc) Once students finish the punch card they can place their card over the answer card. All of the numbers except zero will have the corresponding number of punches.
For example, if the number of the day is 9, there will be nine punches on their card. Once the student puts their card on the answer card, they should be able to count 9 green circles. If it is incorrect, the circle will be red.
