The ‘Similarity Game' is similar to the 'Tribonds' game. Students need to figure out 1 word that describes all three things. This game teaches children the concept of association as well as new vocabulary. It challenges students to think creatively. It is also a great short activity to play during lesson breaks!
- 46 Similarity Cards
- 3 Answer Sheets
- 1 Template to make Similarity Cards
1) P10-33: Cut out all the cards (Refer to P6) The cards can be used as flashcards or game cards. If you choose to cut it using the first method, you can use the cards as flashcards and teach students about their similarity. If you choose to leave out the answer from the card, simply cut out the three pictures. Students would have to figure out the answer themselves!
2) P6-8: Answer worksheet. There are 3 versions (5 answers; 10 answers and 30 answers) dependent on how long you want to spend on this activity. Stick the cards onto a whiteboard or anywhere! Ask your students to figure out the answers and write them on the answer sheet. This is a great activity for them to do individually if you need a short break.
3) P9: Template for you to make your own 'Similarity’ cards. Have students make their own ‘Similarity’ cards using this worksheet. They can draw pictures in the empty boxes. Have the class figure out each others’ ‘Similarity’ cards!
