This is an ice breaker activity while reviewing 6th Grade Math Common Core Standards.
I use this on the first week of school. Students find someone who can solve the problem inside the boxes. Then I have them add it to their binders, and encourage them to ask the students who signed in the box for help throughout the year.
For example: A student struggling with equations, they can find classmates that they are sure know how to solve them accurately. Then, at home if they need help they know who to contact. It also gets them to walk around and talk to people they may not have spoken to before.
