It's time to head back to school!
Looking for a fun way to help your students get to know each other? Get them up and moving around the room with this "Find Someone Who..." back-to-school classmate scavenger hunt!
How to Use: Make one copy of this "Find Someone Who..." activity sheet for each student (and for yourself)! :-) Explain to your students that they will walk around the room and find fellow classmates who can sign their names in one of the boxes on the "Find Someone Who..." activity sheet. Tell them that the person who has the most signatures at the end of the allotted time is the winner! Model for your students the correct way to move around the classroom (walking, not running, jumping, etc.) and the appropriate voice volume for playing the game (using a quiet "inside voice"). Next, have two or three students (preferably the most rambunctious ones) demonstrate for the class how to play the game, copying your model behavior. Be sure to point out (and have other students point out) specifically what the students are doing well. If time allows, have an especially rambunctious student demonstrate what NOT to do (running, yelling, etc.). Ask the students to point out what he/she is doing incorrectly. Last, have that same student model the correct way to play the "Find Someone Who..." game and praise him/her for the great behavior! Now let the game begin!
