This "Find Someone Who" activity is a back-to-school icebreaker assignment that gives students the chance to learn more about their peers. Students use this assignment as a tool for conversation as they walk around the room with the goal of finding friends who can sign each square. A student can sign a square if he or she has something in common with the information in that square. For example, a student would sign the “Own a cat” square if he or she owns a cat. This assignment comes with twenty-eight squares filled with written and visual conversation pieces. If a teacher does not have twenty-eight students in the room, he or she may want to consider taking out some pages or allowing students to sign more than one square.
