This set of five BINGO boards will get your high beginner ESL students talking! ✋
Encouraging students with a low level of English can be so difficult, especially at the beginning of the semester. These BINGO boards use vocabulary most students learn in the first few months of studying English:
☆ family, pets, and hobbies (Family and Likes)
☆favorites (two boards, two ways)
☆school supplies (What's in Your Bag?)
☆past experiences (Past)
For four of the activities, there is an optional writing page to extend the activity. Students complete the BINGO board as you direct (as many as possible, one BINGO, four items anywhere on the board, etc.) using the note space to record answers; then, they return to their seat and fill in the back using the notes they have made while mingling.
The final activity is flipped-- students take a few minutes to think of their own answers to each item, then look for others with the same answers. There is no fill-in page for this item. There is space for students to write their own answer in each box and a space for a name.
The preview includes a usable version of both pages of the Family and Likes BINGO Board. (Half-page size)
