Want to help your students practice adding double digit addition without regrouping? Try this fabulous "Find Someone Who" activity! Model for the students how to walk around the room posing the question "Pardon me, but could you please tell me what the answer to this problem is?" Model for students how to solve an addition problem and sign their name below. Then, show children how to reciprocate the question to their partner and say, "Pardon me...but do you know the answer to this problem?" Once the pair of students has signed each other's papers, teach them how to move on and look for a new partner with whom to interact. When all the boxes have been signed by classmates, teach children to sit down at their desks. This is a perfect activity to help young children interact positively, practice solving two-digit addition problems, and move around the room while learning.
