This utilizes the cooperative strategy Find Someone Who and is great for differentiation! Students go around the room and find one person to answer each box. The students can choose to do one problem which he/she is comfortable doing. Each student needs to put their initials on the problem he/she did. The teacher can check as the students are filling in their sheet. This takes about 15 to 20 minutes. I have used this in my class for whole group. For closing, I go over "my favorite mistake" and randomly choose a student from my random sticks to explain why the mistake was made.
I love this cooperative strategy because it gets the students up and about out of their seats. Also, students take responsibility in their paper if there is a mistake.
