This human bingo game (also known as Find Someone Who, Human Lotto, Firma Por Favor, etc.) is a fun way to get your students up and practicing their communication skills during the unit on gustar and hobbies in beginning-level Spanish classes. Included are three pre-filled lotto sheets which have five empty boxes for students to customize by adding their own words so that no card is completely the same. The words selected for the lotto game are from Avancemos 1A (Unit 1, Lesson 1), pop culture references, and cognate words. Students should do this activity after practicing with the singular structures for gustar (me gusta, te gusta, and le gusta) in class.
There is also a simple writing practice for students to do once the speaking piece is complete.
Included is a bonus variation of regular classroom bingo (lotto) using the same set of words. Teacher instructions are included for how to better customize the boards for using these materials for a basic bingo activity. You could choose to do both activities with the same set of cards.
This no-prep human lotto product includes three pre-filled boards, student instructions, teacher instructions, and a master bingo calling sheet for the bonus classroom lotto game. (Note: while the human lotto game is completely a print-and-go activity (low prep), the bonus bingo game does involve a small amount of prep in that you will need to add 15-18 additional vocabulary words to personalize the cards for your own students. You will also need to cut out the bingo cards for calling the words.) This conversational activity is great for grades 7-12.
