BLOG: If you have difficulty getting your singers to sing out, this warm-up focuses on that exact skill. The only way to learn how to sing louder is to try to sing louder. Every singer has to experiment with making loud sounds, from "wheeee" to making a siren sound in order to experience what LOUD feels like. We must step out of our comfort zone and "go for it." You only know how loud you can sing by actually "pushing the envelope." WARNING: You should be well warmed up before working on this exercise. You know you have pushed too hard if you start coughing and hacking. This is all part of the learning experience. :-)
I have created an .mp3 file sing-a-long accompaniment
companion product to go with this warm-up. When you use the .mp3 file in class, you are able to move about your singers freely and assess their singing. There is a vocal preview provided here.

The downloadable product is clean from vocal sounds and complete.
