This activity combines alphabet introduction, recognition, counting and gives an opportunity for students to practice writing their name.
Students will be introduced to the capital and lower case of each letter of the alphabet and will circle as many of the specified letter that they can find on the page. The first 26 pages are only the specified capital and lower case letter. At the bottom of the worksheet they are asked to count how many they found and write the number on the line. There is also a place for them to write their name on the worksheet.
After the letter is introduced and they are familiar with it, then they are ready for the second half of the worksheets in this set. They will be asked to find a specific capital and lower case letter, and this time there will be other letters on the page too. Students will count up how many they found and write the number on the line. As you get closer to the end of the alphabet, this set becomes more challenging.
The first and second set of worksheets can be used separately or simultaneously.
This activity is perfect for 3 and 4 year olds, and can be used as a review for 5 year olds who recognize their alphabet. It can also be used as an assessment tool.
There are 52 pages total.
