Use to teach the missing partner in an equation. Have students get in to pairs. Decide how many counters they will start with. I have students start at 5 to increase understanding of how the game is played. Partner A will put the total number of counters at the top of the math mountain. Partner A also hides some counters under the cup while leave the rest in the circle. While Partner A is doing this Partner B has their eyes closed. Partner A says, “How many bears in the tent?!” Partner B now looks to see the total and the known partner. Partner B then states how many counters are hiding. Partners then switch roles and continue to play. Print, laminate, and find the missing partner!
Missing Partner Worksheets Include:
Bears in the Tent
Stars in the Sky
Food in the Cart
Owls in the Tree
Penguins in the Igloo
And one that is general with no theme
I found corresponding mini erasers in the dollar spot for each of these themes! More to come!
*Each Game comes with 4 different recording worksheets for differentiation.
