This game is a fun way to practice sight word recognition. Choose the desired sight words you would like your students to practice and place in the pocket chart. Hide a valentine behind one of the sight word cards while your students are turned around with their eyes covered. Have students take turns quickly reading and choosing a sight word. Take the sight word out of the pocket chart to see if the valentine is behind it. Excitement will come when the valentine is found! Students will want to play this game over and over again. This game can be played whole group, in a center or small group. Have fun!
