PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A set of 20 task cards for helping students find Area and Perimeter of Triangles, Quadrilaterals, and Complex Shapes (also a few polygons as well..perimeter only). Students will need to apply their knowledge of how to find area of shapes as well as decomposing complex shapes (my students called them “weird shapes”). Eight of the cards require students to breakdown the shape to find the area. Also included are student answer sheets and an answer key for you to assess their progress.

These cards are excellent for review, independent practice, group work/discussion, formative assessments, and much more. This task card set offers basic as well as challenging problems to meet needs of all students. Make these cards last for the entire year for reviews and refreshers by laminating them, hole punching, and putting on a binder ring. Also, make extra copies for students that need extra practice, students who attend resource, students that get help from math tutors. Be sure to hang onto these to review before end of year testing!
