If you know anything about my teaching style, you know that I love to use movies in my classroom to teach literary elements. Kids get tired of doing the same old assignments for identifying and analyzing these elements so sometimes I have to get creative!
For this assignment students will watch a movie (really any movie will do!) and identify and analyze the foreshadowing found within. Film is particularly helpful in helping students to understand this literary element!
You could use this anytime in the year, but I especially like to use it before holiday breaks or towards the end of the school year when it's more difficult to wrangle the kids' attention.
