This activity allows students to read biographies of Lincoln and then read the book Finding Lincoln to compare and contrast Lincoln, Louis from Finding Lincoln, or other famous characters from history that they research. This unit includes:
-Scope and Sequence of the Activity with various reading, researching, and writing options
-Flip Book comparing and contrasting Lincoln's life to how he affected life today
-Writing prompts with different line widths on How was Lincoln Proactive, A Lincoln biography response, and How is life different from when President Lincoln was alive?
-4 pages of Literacy Links (pre, during, and post reading activities) for Finding Lincoln
-Flip books comparing Lincoln and Louis, and Lincoln or Louis to other characters or people they research
-Writing prompts for How was ___ proactive, how is life different from when ____ was alive, how did ______ change the world to make life better today which include boxes to create a caption and portraits of the characters
