If you haven’t already heard, “Brain Games” is a popular TV show recorded by National Geographic that demonstrates how the brain processes information.
In this resource, students will complete a KWL Chart for each video clip. Before each video clip is played, students will be asked to fill out the first two categories in the KWL Chart. For example, students will answer the question, “What do you Know about the difference between the left and the right brain?” They will then answer the question, “What do you Want to know about the left and the right brain?” After watching each video clip, students will then fill out the last category of the KWL Chart. They will write what they Learned by stating the Main Idea of that particular video clip and will be challenged to back themselves up with two supporting details. Four hand-selected clips are included in this resource. Each one is short, yet entertaining and enlightening! An answer key with a link to each video is included.
