Product Description
In this practice activity, students will have the opportunity to use logical thinking to discover the measurements of unlabeled sides in multi-sided figures and calculate perimeters for the figures.

This activity consists of thirty-six multi-sided figures on two pages. Each figure has measurements of all but ONE of the sides listed. Students are to use the measurements given to determine the value of the missing side measurement. Next, students should find the total perimeter for each figure by adding the sides. All figures are drawn to scale. We have NOT included a unit label, so you may call the measurement values inches, meters, etc. –whatever works best for you. We have also included an answer sheet for students to record their answers and a key for student self-check.

This activity has a mixture of easy and more challenging problems. This makes a great logical reasoning activity as well as computation practice for a column of numbers. Another fun way to use this would be to break it up and solve one figure a day over several weeks as a “thinking” activity.
