Finding Linear Equations on a Graph
I made this image of a house to find a fun way to assess how my students are at locating linear equations on a graph. (the picture is of a house, with a roof, door, windows, grass for a front yard and even a few flowers.)
The equation sheets have 18-21 equations on them and the students have to find the corresponding line on the graph and trace it with a particular color marker. I have also included in the directions that the students need to write the equation on the line that goes with it.
There are two equations sheets:
One has 21 equations (6 in slope intercept form, 12 vertical and horizontal lines, and 3 equations in point slope form)
The second sheet has 18 equations on it, I just left out the point-slope equations and simply told the students to trace the flower stems with green without giving them the equations.
My students really enjoyed this as opposed to another simple worksheet. I hope yours get as much out of this as mine did!
