This Activity allows students to get up and be active while learning. I've been creating lessons for my Algebra students to learn through activities outside.
This lesson will relate finding the average to Quadratics. Students will fill out a table from a Three-Legged foot race and find the average from their times. They will then answer questions that will lead them back to using the zeros/roots of a Parabola to help determine the Vertex.
I suggest using this as a part two, after introducing how to find a midpoint or average between two numbers.
Please leave a comment on my page letting me know how the activity goes! Thank you.
