This is a set of 20 task cards designed to be used with fifth graders as part of the common core multiplication of a whole number by a fraction. Each card has the students find the fraction of a set using a dot array.
I created these for use with on grade level fifth graders who are transitioning into multiplying with fractions to start thinking about a fractional part of a set. I usually print several sets and use them for small group work within the room, but they could easily be used for a math center. I like the fact that I can also send them home for kids who are absent for a particular skill.
This is a 7-page PDF file that consists of 16 task cards ( 4 per page, 4 pages), a 1-page recording sheet (with each of the problems rephrased), and a 1-page answer key.
