This one-stop-shop worksheet guides students through 4 interesting scatterplot problems where students must draw and find the slope of the best fit line. Additionally, students are required to understand the meaning behind the slope. The problems remediate other important scatterplot vocabulary terms so slope can be accessed and remembered.
An exemplar is provided. To differentiate, I recommend scaling the graphs beforehand. For a 60 minute or less class, you may want to have the best fit lines already drawn, so students can focus on the slope. My students found these questions relevant and therefore accessible, since the slope meant something to their real lives. Enjoy!
