Evaluating the Standard Deviation on the TI 83 TI 84 Graphing Calculator plus HW
Teach your students to use the graphing calculator effectively. Included in this resource are two reference/handouts for students to learn to find the Standard Deviation for population and for sample. One is for the TI 83 and the other for the most recent version of the TI 84. Appropriate for Algebra or Statistics.
The illustrated directions walks students through the steps of entering data into lists and using the TI calculators statistical tools to evaluate the standard deviation.
Also included is a handout with 10 applications. There are two versions of the problems, one with free-response, and the other with multiple choice answers. The handouts can be used as HW, assessments, or enrichment.
I have also included posters of the screenshots from my calculator / emulator so that your students can easily follow the steps and see which buttons to press.
