This set of 9 artists and 9 composers will get you through an entire semester study. Makes for a perfectly simple and fun Friday project. Each journal is only ONE PAGE! You'll fold them in half and keep them stored in a 6 x 9 folder.
A quick Google search is all you'll need to set this project up. Students will fill out the artists pages by copying famous works. The composer pages will be filled out as students listen to famous compositions. They will then draw what they “see” when they listen to the music. This could be anything from the musical instruments they hear to the image that they think of while listening.
A short biography is inside each of the journals. Extend the lesson by using books and videos about each composer and artist.
