FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What grades and ages can I use these fine motor activities with? These fine motor activities will work for a wide range of ages from preschool to first or second grade. The activities are meant to grow with your students.

How can I create fine motor journals with these fine motor activities? To create fine motor journals, you will want to print the pages at 80% sizing and cut off the excess. This will ensure they fit perfectly into a spiral notebook. Depending on the activity, students can complete and then glue in their notebook, or glue in their notebook and then complete. Covers for fine motor journals are included.

What size stickers do I use? The sticker fine motor activities were design with regular 3/4“ dot stickers in mind, but i do include plain versions that will work with any stickers you have.

How do I use the pin poke fine motor activities? You will want to have students place the activity on a foam sheet or piece if cardboard to protect the surface. They will take a push pin (I like to use jumbo push pins) and poke holes on the dots to follow the lines.

Do you include versions of these fine motor activities for left-handed students? Yes, there are some activities in the scissor cutting practice worksheets and the fine motor tracing worksheets that include a flipped version for left handed students. Particularly, spirals.

I don’t have one of the materials needed! No problem, you can make swaps where needed for these fine motor activities.

  • Don’t have stickers? Swap for dot markers.
  • Don‘t have dot markers? Have students grab a cotton ball with a clothespin and dip it in paint, or swap for stickers.
  • Don‘t want to use push pins? You can have students complete these as fine motor tracing activities instead.
