Description
For this activity students with develop their visual-spatial abilities, as well as their fine motor control.
The child will look at one of the tower handouts and then use their lego pieces to recreate their own version. They can then ask a teacher, parent or peer to check their work. If they are incorrect they should be prompted to compare their finished product with the sample page and attempt to correct their copy.
Furthermore, it is important that before each new tower is attempted that the previous one be completely dismantled. This will help encourage the fine motor control of breaking apart and building.
