What’s Included:

This pack includes 24 patterning task cards on 6 sheets of paper. Each task card features a bead pattern with a choice of the next color bead. This pack includes a variety of pattern types including; ABAB, AABB, ABCABC, ABAC, ABCD, ABCDE. A universal follow-up worksheet is provided.

How to Use:

These task cards are designed to fit perfectly inside standard task card photo containers. (4x6) After laminating the cards, cut them apart and store them inside a task box. There are 24 task cards so they should fill up about 1/3 of the box, leaving you room to store the pony beads and mini-clothespins. Each task card gives students an example of a bead pattern. Students recreate the bead pattern using the pony beads and the pipe cleaner, then “clip” the correct answer on the task card. Use the follow-up worksheet to expand learning. Students are asked to draw their pattern, label it (AABB…), count and circle the colors, expand the pattern, and to show the pattern as a bracelet.
