**Fingerprint science activity for elementary students- hands-on** Students start out by “lifting” their own fingerprint using a piece of tape and drawing it onto the paper. They then describe their fingerprint pattern. Students enlarge their fingerprint using a balloon, draw the image, and compare. Finally, students get the fingerprints of others and identify which type of fingerprint is most common.
This activity is fun for students in grades 1-6! There are many possible extension activities to go along with this as well.
