Fingerprints Fly is a lovely, reflective, gentle song, yet carries a deep message about leaving our fingerprints everywhere we go in everything we experience in life. At the end of the song, our dreams take flight as our fingerprints "fly."
In this Zip File is an mp3 background track and vocal track of "Fingerprints Fly," a video of the complete finger painting activity, with lyric page and lead sheet of the song!

Finger paint a landscape...grass, tree, sky...This song will perfectly accompany this simple finger painting project. Give a plain page of copy paper to each student, every two students sharing a pallet of colors. Students first mix blue and yellow to make the green for the top of the tree and the grass. Give a tiny bit of red and students mix until the desired brown is achieved for the trunk of the tree. Only give the students the color needed at the moment. I walked around my room with the paints and dabbed the colors on their "pallet" which was another piece of paper. I pre mixed a light blue for the sky and another green as they ran out of color. A little yellow for a sun, a little red for apples and flowers, a little black for birds in the sky. My students continue to ask me when we will be painting again!
