Product Description
A silly reading and writing activity with "Fractured Fairytales." These are four fairytales re-told, imagining that the characters have modern technology. First, students read the fractured fairytale (my students read aloud, with each student take a paragraph or sentence before switching turns) and find the seven mistakes in the irregular past tense verbs. Then, they write an ending to the fairytale based on the story so far.

The stories included are: Cinderella, Rapunzel, The Emperor's New Clothes, Hansel and Gretal, and Beauty and the Beast.

I used this for a sixth grade ESL class, and my students worked in small groups. However, this could easily be used for a Language Arts class and could also work as a pair or individual activity
