"Fire Investigator Versus Fireman" are questions about: the job of a fire investigator, about fires, and a Venn-diagram asking students to compare and contrast a fireman's job to a fire investigator's job. This is a terrific group or individual activity for fire week.
This handout provides students with specific questions to answer during research on fire investigators and allows them to use prior knowledge and research to complete their Venn-Diagrams. The included questions are very basic and suitable for younger students. There is a total of five questions and one Venn-Diagram.
The questions are multiple choice to provide a more structured research. Research can be completed with different resources and as a literacy center or classwork. (I recommend asking your students to write down their used resources, unless you specify or provide the sources to use.)
An answer key is included.
