Description
This is a PhET-fueled investigation of mechanical energy in vertically launched projectiles. It uses PhET's Projectile Motion simulation.
Compare the kinetic energy given to a ball launched vertically and the potential energy of that ball at the apex of its fight. Calculations suggest conservation of energy. Doubling and tripling the launch speed result in apex heights that some find surprising.
