Add the word spiral, to your students vocabulary with this quick, easy and fun fire safety craftivity.

Cutting out a spiral provides great fine motor practice to help strengthen those weak finger muscles.

Children are amazed that the spiral turns into a fire hose when they finish cutting it out.

A water drop dangles from the end, with 5 “color me” circle options to glue on the back.

The front of the drop has some flames with a sweet “Put Out the Fire” song on it.

I’ve provided a song poster, as well as a black and white traceable one for a worksheet, along with 2 spiral posters.

Older students can write fire safety words, complete a writing prompt, or write a fire safety rule on the spiral before they cut it out.

Punch a hole in the top, add a yarn loop and dangle from the ceiling.

I’m Diane, from Teach With Me, wishing you a safe and fun October.
