PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This activity guides students through a difficult primary source. Students will listen to and complete a guided analysis of President Roosevelt’s radio broadcast from October 12, 1933. This chat focused on government efforts to halt the collapse of the banking industry. Students would benefit from having an understanding of the stock market crash and its effects on the banking industry. This would make a great "extension" activity for higher level middle school students or give high school students a chance to dig into the events at the time.
