These sight word practice pages can be used for whole group, small group, or individual practice. There is one practice page for each of the first 100 Fry high-frequency words. Students practice reading and writing all of Fry’s first 100 high-frequency words, so they become part of their sight word vocabulary. First, students write the word in the oval on the line. Then, they read the sentence staircase and highlight the word in the sentence staircase. I have included three clipart images of children reading, so students can color one of the images each time they read the sentence staircase. Repeated readings are an effective way to build oral reading fluency. Lastly, students write a complete sentence using the word.
