This assignment challenges students to develop their own assertion regarding the first amendment through two different pre-constructed options and a third option where students can develop their own scenario to address. This is a great writing assignment for a U.S. History and/or U.S. Government class. A great activity for students to be able to flex their analytical, critical thinking, and application muscles.
