Here's a great way to give your students a way to break the ice and get them reacquainted after a summer off. Get them up and moving as they collect each others names to prepare for an enjoyable game of bingo.
Directions are as follows.
Each student writes their name on a slip of paper and it is placed it in the call container.
Each student is given a Bingo card. The students will be writing on them so simple paper copies work fine. There are descriptions in each block such as: someone who likes chocolate or can play an instrument.
When you tell them to begin, the students visit each other to find someone that matches the description in the blocks. The matching person writes their name in the block. .
When everyone is ready you use call the names from the container. As you call the names they cover the block if they have the name.
Prizes can be school supplies for the beginning of the year or homework passes or other reward coupons. If your district allows candy, the blocks can be covered with M&M’s and small treats can be the prize.
This editable version gives you the freedom to personalize the cards based on the ages of your students and items particular to your school.
Simply print and you're ready. This can be used year after year.
