Are you looking for a fun way to talk about feelings on the first day of school? This First Day Feelings Graphing Activity is a great way for students to practice graphing on the first day of school!
Check out the preview to see how this activity will look at the end!
This includes the emotions: excited, happy, angry, sad, worried, shy, and scared.
How to use this activity:
You will print either the color or black and white version.**I did the black and white version with my class, so they can color their emotion card.**
You will glue the emotions on your large piece of paper, such as butcher paper or chart paper.
Copy the emotion cards and cut out. I cut out mostly happy and excited cards.
Talk to the students about what each emotion means and then let them come up and choose their emotion on the first day of school.
They will write their name on the line provided.
Lastly, they will come up and glue their name to the graph.
There are three recording pages to use with your students.
In this activity, you will find:
*two sizes for the title
*two sizes for the emotion cards for students to write their names
*color and black and white emotion cards and emotion titles
*graph recording page for students to complete at the end
*2 recording pages for students to write the number of students who chose each emotion
*1 recording page for students to answer questions about their graph
