On this name plate, your students will find the fraction, decimal, and percentage of the vowels and consonants in their names, as well as draw a pie graph to show the data. Perfect for the first day if you want them to get a quick review of this important skill right off the bat while you complete paperwork! (It would also work the day before you have a substitute if you want the students to have their names displayed in your absence.) The top half is for students to complete and the bottom half gives detailed instructions on filling it out and completing the conversion. (The second page of the product is the credits page.) The students should be able to work independently, leaving you free to take care of those first-day tasks while the students work productively. Students then fold the paper in half to display the name side (it might stay up if you use copy paper, but cardstock would definitely work better).
