Here are 7 First Day Organizers to get started.
I have these in cute fonts from sources listed in my credits for my classroom but have changed them to Arial for you to edit as you wish.
1. First Day - Classroom Expectations, Class Rules, Supplies, & Grading
I print this out ½ size (2 on 1) and I have students glue this into their Interactive Student Notebooks. For reference, I teach high school geometry.
2. First Day Activity & Information
I have students fill this out while I am taking care of teacher responsibilities and collect this on the first day so they know where to turn in their papers.
3. Parent Contact Log & MEET THE TEACHER information
I send this home on the First Day for detailed parent contact information to be filled out on the form I will use during the year and provide MEET THE TEACHER information on the back asking for some basic information. I scan these in through the copier by period and email them to me so I have access to the information on my computer.
4. Parent Conference Log
I made this in a check box format to fill out quickly.
5. Tutoring Log
This is helpful for parent conferences, counselor meetings, or administrator meetings having specific dates when students attended tutoring in their own handwriting.
6. New Student Log
I made this new for the year to be more organized. I ask the student where they are from to know where I need to get their current grades, a teacher at my school or the counselor.
7. Withdrawn Student Log
I made this new for this year too ensuring I collect everything needed for withdrawn students.
