Product Description

Looking for a fun activity to end your first day with students? Look no further!

Having students reflect on their first day of school is a great activity for any middle school student. This First Day Reflection provides students with plenty of room (front and back) to reflect on their first day of school. A few helpful prompts are provided, but students have plenty of room and freedom to reflect on their first day as they write a letter to themselves.

Some Teaching Suggestions:

  • Use this activity for the end of the first day. It is a great way to have students take a break and process how their day has gone, and it is a great opportunity for the teachers to have a bit of a break from talking!
  • Save the letters and return to students at the end of the year. They love reading how they had reacted to their first day!

This was created for middle school students, but could be used for upper elementary as well.
