What educators are saying

Used this online and f2F (for simultaneous teaching). It was a great way to get to know my new students in a short and sweet way!

The first day of school is a flash of introductions and paperwork. I like to take away information about my students by having them fill out a get to know you worksheet and survey and have an in-class activity planned right off the bat.

This handout is designed to be fun and approachable for students. It includes fun, silly questions along with more informative ones. This pack does include one art survey sheet for elementary, middle, and high school visual art classes, this can easily be skipped over for a general edu class.

In addition to my four versions of a general get to know you sheet I also have a more in-depth introduction sheet and goal setting sheet for general classroom teachers, teachers with adviser or mentor groups, or a smaller class setting.

All in all the following are included:

➢4 different versions of get to know you sheets: Find out about students' favorites (food, music), silly multiple choice questions, and a quick drawing prompt on each sheet.

➢1 in-depth get to know you sheet: Quick bio about the student, what they are involved in, in and out of school, general info questions, quick drawing prompt.

➢General art survey

➢Goal setting sheet to focus on three goals

Tip: Add student's favorite song or band to a class playlist (as long as it's school appropriate) to play during the school day.
