These getting to know you activities are no prep, All About Me printables, MINECRAFT style! Perfect for the first day of school as an ice breaker activity! Get the kiddos talking about something they all know and love. The finished products make an attractive bulletin board display too. Sure to delight all your Minecraft crazed students, these activities are not the typical math, or color by number resources you see all over TPT. The All About Me version puts a whole new spin on it, using prompts and physical traits of the students to help them design their "skin". Here is what is included:
Me in Minecraft – Girl Version 1st/2nd Grade level (with completed example)
Me in Minecraft – Boy Version 1st /2nd Grade level (with completed example)
Me in Minecraft – Girl Version 3rd/4th Grade level
Me in Minecraft – Boy Version 3rd/4th Grade level
~These worksheets are a type of color by number activity, but with a twist. The students personalize the character “skin” based on their own traits and preferences, by answering prompts. Each student’s sheet will turn out differently. This activity is also differentiated. The 3rd and 4th grade level goes a step further, having the student create their own MINDCRAFT skin, which they can then go online and add to their character in the game. This version is not based on prompts, but on their own creativity. The Minecraft character skin activity makes a very nice bulletin board display. The 1st/2nd grade version comes in both full page and half page sizes.
Also included is are two additional worksheets. They are differentiated to suit different grades/abilities. The worksheets have Minecraft related questions, as writing prompts, and there is a space for students to draw their favorite mob! Really great fun for the class!
