Essentials for the first day of school: Get them fed well and get them home safe! Have you heard that before? Well there are a few other important ways to help your new students get to know each other.
Here you'll find 9 pages of the following:
- "Get to Know Ya" Cards: You can cut them out and have students work in pairs or teams to ask each other the questions printed on the cards. This can be done cooperative learning style!
-"Interview A Buddy" recording sheet: Students can pair up and ask questions about each other. This is a great way for them to learn about their new classmates.
-Class Mission Statement template: I don't know about you, but where I teach it is very important to develop class and student mission statements that all align. Here is a template for students to fill out. They can be displayed in class or kept in student binders for safe keeping.
-Student Snack Mix poem and ingredients: I did say, "Get them fed"! Snack mix is a yummy way to engage and motivate your kiddos.
