This is a wonderful 36 slide Powerpoint that I use to introduce my class to our procedures and routines. It is colorful and has fun interesting sounds and pictures that help keep students interested. It gives a question like a student might ask and provides the answer. For example slide 1 says " What do I do if have to have a bathroom break? and the answer is provided. It is a wonderful tool because I don't have to try to remember all the routines or read them off a boring list. You can make this interactive by copying these numbered questions on index cards or cardstock, hand them out as students enter the room on the first day and then ask who has question 1? The student with that card will read the question and you refer to the slide for the answer. The slide show is customized for my classroom and can be used as a template so you can edit it to fit your own procedures, add your own pictures. and sounds too. This is also a great resource to use for parents on open house. I also leave it running for the first week or so of school so the students can read it over and over till they learn what to do. Pricipals or administrators can use it at introductory staff meetings with their own questions and answers about school policy.
