Included in this starter kit are the following items:
-Class Syllabus (in editable Word document) - this is in Cornell Format and meant for students to copy into their spirals so they can practice note taking while they review the syllabus.
-Accommodations Tracking (in editable Excel document) - this is set up with common accommodations for IEP/504 students and can be sorted by period or student name.
-Bellwork (in editable PPT) - this has over 2 weeks of bellwork activities with expository writing, grammar/usage/mechanics practice, and creative writing with a brief teacher guide on the first slide.
-Book Check Out (PDF) - a template page for teachers with a classroom library to track books checked out and in
-Sign Out Form (PDF) - a template page for teachers to track students signing in and out of the classroom
-Student Planner (PDF) - a one page template to help students track their assignments/due dates if they do not have a planner
-Student Concern Letter (editable Word document) - a half-page sized letter to send home to parents for student concerns
-Reading Log (PDF) - a 6 question reading log based on Common Core standards examining theme, character development, figurative language, personal connections, and author's writing style.
-Reading Log, ELL/ESOL Accommodated (PDF) - an accommodated log for English Language Learners. This asks students to summarize the story, examine conflict, and identify/use new vocabulary words.
