These sheets are used to keep my students on task during the first five minutes of class. When they walk into class, they know to grab their First Five sheet and begin working. These sheets correlate to a task, frequently written on the SMART-board. For example, I may write a sentence on the board that needs to be edited. First, the students would write the sentence as it is on the board and edit it. When it is edited, they re-write it on the bottom line. However, I change up the daily "First Five Minutes" from time to time.
