This is a set that I created for use in my own first grade classroom to get a baseline for my new class! At the beginning of the year I test Dolch sight words, ABC recognition, letter sounds, counting, shape recognition, and numbers to 20. Included in this set are flashcards to make flashcard rings for each of these skills. For the Dolch sight words, I needed a set that were not in alphabetical order and wanted a recording form to match. Therefore, I put the words in random order, numbered the cards, and put the words in that same order on the student recording form. You will also find individual student forms for all of the other skills (lower & upper case letter recognition/letter sounds, rote counting/number recognition/shape recognition). Finally, I made a set of data forms for the whole class! These sheets are perfect for a data binder and for guiding your next steps in instruction. The class data files are editable .PDFs so that you can type in the information. Although I made this set for use in a first grade classroom, it would also work for kindergarten teachers to use throughout the year as the skills I test for are based on the kindergarten Common Core standards.
