The math task cards can be used in a variety of different ways. I have used these cards as assessment checks or exit slips in my classroom to check for understanding, but they can also be used:
To reinforce the common core standard further as an addition to instruction
As a homework assignment for parents to see what their children have been working on in the classroom.
As a pre test in the beginning of the school year and an end of the year test.
As a progress monitoring tool to help drive your instruction
As a common assessment tool for your grade level to colaborate about.
I included a booklet template for you to use if you choose along with blank sheets for your students to cut and glue the task card in the booklet before completing the task.
