Product Description

First Grade ELA "I can" statements - SPANISH

These visually appealing posters and sentence strips can be used alongside student work on bulletin boards, as part of the lesson objectives, and throughout your classroom. Regardless of how you decide to display them, they will come in handy when you have visitors in your classroom, or for you to refer to during instruction.

There are a total of 101 posters and 101 sentence strips. Each poster and sentence strip displays an "I can" statement in SPANISH, kid friendly language, and the corresponding common core ELA standard. This includes 9 posters and sentence strips for reading literature standards, 16 for reading informational, 28 reading foundational, 7 for writing, 9 for speaking and listening, and 32 for language standards. Please see the preview above to check out what you will be receiving with this download.

Reading Foundation and Language standards include linguistic modifications supportive of the Spanish language. For instance, RF.1.3 b Decode regularly spelled one-syllable words… RF.1.3 b Distinguen entre las sílabas abiertas y las sílabas cerradas. L.1.2 b Use end punctuation for sentences… L.1.2.b Usan la puntuación correctamente para empezar y/o finalizer las oraciones, incluyendo el uso correcto de los signos de interrogación ¿?; y de exclamación ¡!. Additional posters referencing accent marks are included, such as: RF.1.1 c Reconocen que el acento escrito indica a veces un significado distinto en palabras que se escriben con las mismas letras (te, té; tu, tú).

The posters size is 8.5"x11" and the sentence strips size is 4.25"x11". Both versions can be printed on letter size (8.5x11) or you can opt to print multiple posters via the print settings. I recommend to print them on card stock paper and laminate for durability.
